I see the light. Let me create a lasting memory for you, something your children will fight over some day.

Those eyes!
What a sweetheart! While shooting a family session, this little face looked up and just melted my heart. I knew I had to act fast as that expression was likely to change as fast as a Texas storm. I was lucky, she must have mesmerized by the goofy guy with the funny looking camera just long enough to get the shot. It was my lucky day.

Out of the dusty closet, into the light of day
I remember taking these images some years ago. I was moving files from one PC to another one and it gave me a chance to check out some old stuff. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. One of them goes way back - right Celestial?

It's My Party...
My cousin's daughter turned 15 and for her special day, she wanted to have some friends join her in a photo shoot. So - we invited them all over to the studio where we had a blast. Once the music started playing, loud, the girls relaxed and we got some very active and fun photos (not pictured here though). We spent some time outside and then came in for some portraits. Here are a few from the end of the shoot. They were all very pretty and very nice girls. They're all welcome back anytime.

Maddison, serendipitously
I had a photo shoot going on in the studio last night and needed a hand. I invited my daughter to come up to the studio. She brought Maddison with her, of course, and seeing a nice opportunity, I had my daughter hold the baby (my granddaughter) in the light and snapped a couple of shots.

Thanksgiving Point Painter
Not sure I'm done with this one or not, but I thought I'd throw it up against the wall - see how it sticks.

Mesa Temple at sunset, with a full moon.
I sill have a few to edit, but I know a nice young couple that I met at the temple along with a certain outstanding photographer here in town are expecting to see these posted tonight. This type of photography is something I'm still learning about and good photographs begin in the camera. I'll probably have a few more posted before I hang it up tonight.
This one looks a little soft here, but you should see the 13x19 I made for myself.
I'm leaving this one here at the end because it has some serious problems. I like the concept but the execution was lacking. I left in the lens flare and the track that the jet left as it approached Sky Harbor. It's kind of cool, but next time I'll wait until all celestial objects have passed. On the original (I scale these way down) you can see stars in the sky.
What do you think about the lens flare though? I notice that more and more photographers are leaving that in, calling it "intentional".

Finally, if that young couple who brought their kids to the temple for some hand's on learning tonight ever finds this post, send me a note, I'd like to say hi.

- Here is where I post images from recent shoots and occasional personal info that I like to share with my friends. I will slowly add photos from old shoots as I have time. Check back from time to time to see what's new. Call or email if you'd like to chat about a photo opportunity. If you've come to visit, please just leave a brief comment. You don't have to like the photos, just let me know you were here. I'd really appreciate it.
