Life flight

This helicopter landed in the back yard a little after an hour ago.  Well, not right in the back yard, but in the retention basin behind the house.  It was about 100 feet away.  Unfortunately there was an accident at the intersection and this young lady needed to get to the hospital quickly apparently.  The rest of the photos are on my personal Facebook page (www.facebook.com/BrucekBarnes).

Serendipitious Teenager Encounter

Call me Lucky.  The park was perfect tonight, the sky slightly overcast, the wind calm.  The temperature kept us cool and fresh, and the main light (you can call it the sun) was heading towards its scarlet and mauve diurnal destination.  The only incident to sadden the heart of the intrepid and child-wise photographer was that he was being outmaneuvered by a recalcitrant and determined two-year old.  In a twisted twist of fate, a gaggle of teenagers were lurking around the park.  Noting their abundance of exuberant holiday mirth, the photographer petitioned them to stand behind the camera and outwit the two-year old by jumping up and down like a family of monkeys at banana feeding time.

Cheerleading in the park

I had just finished up a shoot for a family and as I was leaving, I ran in to these cheerleaders from a local high school engaged in a casual photo shoot. The mother of one of the girls was changing a battery in her camera so I offered to take a few photos; they agreed to smile. That's what I call a win-win situation.
